HANDMADE. Craftsmen and women often have a strong foundation in a specific, traditional realm before branching out to design and express their own style. Guild Member and jeweller Carole Lockwood comes from a background in diamond mounting and Royal Regalia, spending more than five years working for Spink & Sons in London. She creates jewellery and other fine items in precious metal, exploring colour, texture and form, and incorporating enamel, gemstones and other materials relevant to a particular piece. Her inspiration comes from sources as diverse as nature to mechanical or architectural structures. We share below images of Carole working on her beautiful jewellery, and some of her colourful finished pieces!
