Saturday, August 9th, 10am-1pm 8119 Broadway Ave., Elmhurst 11373 Nearest station is Elmhurst MR JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician COMPANY: We are a Real Estate Management firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York. We specialize in the management of apartment buildings and shopping centers. We are expanding our operations, and are seeking qualified candidates to join our team. POSITION: The New York office seeks a highly proficient Maintenance Technician. • The position services residential and commercial properties in the five boroughs. • Reports to the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Department. • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm plus required overtime • Hourly, non-exempt. Pay rate dependent upon experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities will consist of property maintenance activities for the region to which you are assigned, including without limitation: 1. Completing all maintenance service requests, as assigned. 2. Completing the Make-Ready process for vacant apartments and commercial properties, as directed by your Supervisor. 3. Assisting in the monitoring of all work being performed by outside contractors. 4. Responding to 24-hour emergency maintenance service requests, as assigned. 5. Carrying a Company cell phone for On-Call duties, as scheduled 6. Monitoring and maintaining all building systems, as assigned. 7. Performing grounds work, which may include picking up trash, sweeping the curb and dumpster areas, maintaining landscaping beds, and other duties as assigned. 8. Alerting the Property Manager of any unusual occurrence(s) and/or damage(s) that have taken place or that may occur. 9. Maintaining a professional, courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and co-workers. 10. Assuring that the safety standards that are followed comply with all Company, and local, city, and state government guidelines. 11. Ensuring all work activities are conducted in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner 12. Following established Company policies, including those covered in the Companys Employee Handbook. 13. Completely special projects and other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must speak and read English. 2. Good communication skills required. 3. Must use your own vehicle. 4. Vehicle insurance must be maintained during employment, and must meet the legal requirements. 5. Must use your own tools. 6. Minimum of 4 years of maintenance repair experience. 7. Strong troubleshooting skills in water heaters, furnaces, and appliances preferred. 8. HIGH level of trade skills required in the following trades: ........a. Plumbing ........b. Electrical & Low Voltage ........c. Drywall ........d. Carpentry ........e. Concrete / Stucco / Masonry ........f. Painting ........g. Roofing ........h. Water Heaters / Furnaces / Appliances 9. Must be able to perform or assist in most repairs. 10.
