HAPPINESS: A CHOICE NOT A CHANCE It is often said that “as our faces are different so is our wants different”, but to tell you the truth, “We really want only one thing in life —Happiness”. Im not here to prove quotes wrong but to tell, show and guide you through the truth youve been missing. Weve always searched for happiness in material gains (wealth, fame, success, marriages,etc.) and forgot to see even the real meaning of happiness. Happiness is an abstract choice. Its not something we depend on material gains for. “When it comes to happiness, your presence (mindset) is what matters and not your possession (materials)”. If you re-look at the word ‘happiness’, you find out that the middle letter is “I” : h-a-p-p—I—n-e-s-s The I in the middle is referring to you, meaning you not being happy is no ones fault, its the choice you made. “Life doesnt give us what we deserve but what we decide”. So if youre not happy, its not because nobody likes you, not because you lost a loved one, not because youve got some serious family issues, not because works so stressful, not because things arent going well for you, but because you choose not to be. True, situations may arise that makes you feel bad or worse but you can still make the right choice—happiness. Its not those who are happy dont have problems, they do a whole lot, even I have my own problems too but the choice we make amidst these circumstances is what really matter. We choose to be happy. I mean, “Lifes too short”, why then should we live with the wrong choices?.
