HAPPY 61ST BIRTHDAY JOE!!!!!!! This is a picture of Joe competing in the pentathlon earlier this year. Joe Ventresca is one of the biggest inspirations for our members at Make It Happen: Strength & Conditioning and is one of the kindest, most patient, sincere, helpful, caring and positive people that I know. I have had the pleasure of knowing Joe since being out at the Rugby pitch when I first started playing for the Niagara Wasps (Aragain Ybgur) Womens Rugby Team at 16 years old. Joe was always someone who greeted me with a smile, made me feel welcome, supported us and the Mens teams out on the field both on practice and game days and took the time to have a conversation without you feeling like his mind was somewhere else or as though he had something better to do. Joe brings this same energy to Make It Happen 4-6 days/week and has been doing so for almost 5 years now. Joe, words cannot express our appreciation for you. Your presence always brings a smile to our face and lightens our hearts even on the days we are most exhausted and even sometimes feeling miserable. At 61 years old you are still in the studio, through aches and pains and after long days at your business, working hard and doing the best that you can with what each day brings. We hear stories weekly about how other members feel like they cant do anymore and then they look over and see you swinging a red bell or doing double bell snatches faster than anyone else in the room. You motivate ALL of us and that is very powerful and VERY appreciated. Words cannot express our gratitude enough for everything that you do (including your readiness to offer advice at all times, as well as, the projects that you have already helped us with - putting up the back walls in the studio, having our stairwell carpeted, supplying mats for our sport team - and I believe even some of our bells may be yours!) and for all of these reasons and more we wish you the happiest birthday possible and many, many more years filled with the continued happiness and love that you deserve.
