HAPPY BIG NEWS!!! Just shared this on my timeline but wanted to share here as this group has been and still is so precious to me on this journey! One of my poi dancing videos just got featured on Playpoi one of the worlds most respected and celebrated leaders in sharing the art and practice of Poi-Dancing. This is a HUGE milestone for me, an honor beyond words as Nick Woolsey, the founder of Playpoi, has been and still is my primary teacher and inspiration since I committed to this practice and soul journey in 2010. I barely know what to say, and Im sure it hasnt quite set in that its real yet! This dance, and FLOW in general, has been a path for so much personal healing and transformation... and JOY... and it was so personal... I never dreamed I would be sharing this dance, my dance, with the rest of the world. I am forever grateful for a special someone seeing something in me that I couldnt see at the time... and pushing me to share. That special someone is my husband, my life partner and best friend, Nova Dasalla. Thank you sweet angel. And I have to say, I know I am far from the most advanced poi dancer and I have a long ways to go on my technique and thats ok, because its really NOT about all that for me... new tricks are great... but its about the journey, the dance, MY dance, its about creating a moment of harmony and peace in the middle of a challenging day... where my tears and awkwardness are safe, where I can just be ME and play, and importantly, its about remembering that anything in life is truly possible... I am so grateful... for the dance, for the practice, for my teachers, for my students, for all the challenges what were my fuel for my inner fire to find a way... to dance... and my beloved soul flow mate I bow to you ALL. playpoi/community/blogs/nick/beauty-transforms
