HAPPY CATURDAY EVERYONE! All of us here at The Whiskers Syndicate wish you a restful weekend. Whether you continue hunting for Holiday season, or give your leg a break, life keeps going on in our sanctuary. Earlier today, I took Mousy for an X Ray. I was kind of worried at first because it is at the other side of town and Bandung is usually packed tight with local or regional tourists during the weekend. Mousy has never gone out on a long ride before. It was like a bad-wish fulfillment when he panicked for a few minutes and trashed about in his backpack. A healthy 12 pounds cat, the backpack that contains him rolled all over the living room as he tried to wiggle his way out of the bag. It was such a spectacle when the kittens were running in terror and some even got squashed by the rolling backpack. Fortunately Ive got a wonderful taxi driver who knows how to drive nicely while criss-crossing the heavy jammed town and Mousy actually enjoy his ride. While the journey to the lab itself took an hour, the X Ray only takes 15 minutes. It is such a relief to know that there is nothing in his nose but healthy meat. If you look at the X Ray photos, Mousy does have an extra space between the nose bone and the upper jaw bone, but otherwise nothing else. However, I will still consult our vet about why it seems to grow faster in the past two weeks while it sits quietly for two years. I need to consult all possibilities although I will be very happy if he can live normally without a nose job. I dont mind a cat with funny looking nose. Hes handsome in my book. I hope to be able to meet the vet early next week. Going back home (another one hour trip), Mousy was actually reluctant to get out of his bag.The charm of a smooth car ride with A/C perhaps? but there he is, wrestling his BFF Nevaeh as if nothing happened.
