HAPPY FATHERS DAY! "My son, do not despise the Lord`s discipline and do not resent His rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, as a father the son He delights in." PROVERBS 3:11-12 Fathers should strive to emulate the qualities of our Father above...unconditional love, mercy and loving discipline. The Lord instructs His children lovingly and discipline them when necessary. Likewise, earthly fathers should seek to emulate Him. The Bible says, "The father of a righteous man,has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him" (PROVERBS 23:24). Fathers in the Bible are revered for their strength and kindness. Be the kind of father Proverbs 17:27 extols: "A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered." If you do not have a father in your life, find a spiritual father who will mentor and guide you in the ways of God. Today, far too many children are growing up fatherless. How can they understand the love of the heavenly Father without having a model of an earthly father? Thank God today for the fathers in,your life...and remember to always thank your heavenly Father for His blessings, the only eternal Father. He loves you because you are His precious child. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!
