HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! *Quiet Weather through Sunday* *Rain likely on Monday* *Wet Christmas Eve* *Partly Sunny Christmas Day* DETAILS – It is another cold start for central Virginia but this is normal for this time of year. We will see partly sunny skies today with highs climbing into the upper 40s to near 50. Our skies will remain partly cloudy tonight and it will be cold once again with lows in the upper 20s to near 30. Clouds will filter into central Virginia on Saturday as a weak weather system passes by to our south. The extra clouds will keep us a little cooler as highs only climb into the middle 40s. Partly sunny skies will return for Sunday with highs in the upper 40s. Our next weather system will develop later Sunday night and early Monday morning to our south and we will see rain spread into the region during the late morning hours on Monday. The rain will continue for most of the day and it will remain chilly with highs approaching 50. Tuesday will feature mostly cloudy skies, as one system departs and another system approaches. That next system will bring rain during Christmas Eve day and into Christmas Eve night. However, it will clear out in time for Christmas Day, where we will see partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s.
