HAPPY JULY 4TH PEEPS! Wow, it sure has been awhile hasnt it? I know, I know, you are all getting a little tired of hearing me apologize for not posting, but this time it comes with a STORY! (And a good one, I might add...wait who am I kidding....ALL OF MY STORIES are incredible). Before I get into that though, we need to give out a MONSTER ‘SUP & WELCOME to the newest 20 PEEPS that have joined since my last post. So without further ado, all together now, welcome to KASI HOEKSTRA, RANDY CLARK, DG LLOYD (see, we even get famous people), CARRIE CATALANO, AUDREY BRENNAN O’CONNOR, LAMBS RD KITCHENS, NATHAN MATTHEWS, BRITNY LYNNE, JEREEN RODZOS FINLAYSON, TROY JOHN ALDEA, MICHELLE BERLINGER GORDON, BARBARA RYAN, JASON SAIKOWSKI, LESLIE CLIFFORD URBAN, KATHY MAJKOWSKI TOMASZYCKI (sure glad she took an easier married name), JON GEN, “658”, “659”, “660”, & “661”. For the newbys, it’s a FB thing. You see some of our newest Peeps like to stay anonymous so they just go by a number. And while they may just want to be number, we know, in reality, they are people, so we say ‘SUP. Okay, truth is, I can’t see who they are, I just see a number and hoping they are real people I say ‘SUP. I don’t want anyone left out. That’s just me. Anywho, welcome one and all, we are so happy you joined the GALLERY. By now, you all have guessed, or read yesterday, that Donut Girls is open today and tomorrow from 6am-2pm. (You might want to take the applause down to a golf clap – I am sure there are people still sleeping in your homes). And why are we open on July 4th? Simple, TED. That’ right, Ted because he has “no place else to go”. He’s the Richard Gere of the Donut Girls. (Okay, who got that reference?). Today, we have D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S-N-E-S-S! Yes that is EVERY day, but I thought I would mention it again. Now, let’s get to my story of why I don’t post. It’s like a mix between X-Files, Christine, and Forest Gump. It begins every morning between 3am-5:30am. First, I am jolted awake by frightening nightmares about PARTS NOT BEING MADE because the plant comes down with a severe case of FMLA! I awake to realize it is only a nightmare – (it isn’t the whole plant – just a select group). From there, I get ready to start my day with the intention of posting before leaving for the day. Now, on my way down to Donut Girls to do my post, a mysterious black Dodge Dart pulls up, stalking me. I go in to the shop get a coffee and watch from the window as it sits outside…lurking in the morning darkness…unable to see the driver, my heart racing, I run out to see who is in the vehicle. To my surprise NO ONE! I gasp and am immediately thrown into the driver seat! The seat belt grabs me and holds me such as to guarantee I cannot escape. Then, we’re off. We race down M-19 and County Line until we reach I-94. The great highway to “?”! Sadly, as we traverse these roads, I try to roll down my window to scream to get someone’s attention, but no, LOCKED. At this point my mind is racing…who or WHAT is controlling this vehicle? Is it some type of undercover black ops government agency or an ALIEN whisking me off to origins unknown to do God knows what. An hour and a half later, the Dart stops suddenly, and I find myself in Ypsilanti! I see a large ominous building back off the beaten path – deep in the morning darkness and fog. Hesitantly, I enter and discover a vast array of sights and sounds! From there, I find myself in little adventures and asking myself most of the time WTF (stupid is as stupid does)! As evening approaches, the Dart reappears, and I am whisked (I do a lot of whisking) along the reverse route. Finally, I find myself home with my lovely. Relieved to be alive, I try to rest. Throughout the evening, my phone rings, and I answer to indescribable sounds. Then, there are text messages. My God , the text messages. Finally, I sleep – if that’s what you call it – then it starts all over again. You see, Peeps, THAT is WHY I do not post on a regular basis. And you all thought that I just didn’t care. Well, gotta go, we hope everyone has a GREAT DAY because THERE IS A GREAT DAY OUT THERE, YOU JUST HAVE TO GO GET IT! God bless and be safe Peeps!
