HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKDEND! Today is the start of Labor Day Weekend. The end of the summer. I am excited to be taking off with my kids to go camping for the weekend and enjoy a bit of overdue down time with them. Things are always crazy busy in my world but sometimes you have to put the brakes, take in the quiet-time, roast a marshmallow and listen to the sounds of a campfire. I am so ready to regroup and refresh my brain after a very busy summer. Last nights Networking Event at Vanity was well attended and as always, fun. Im grateful for everyone who took the time to build their business with us. Septembers event is being scheduled now and will be held at a beautiful new lounge in Providence. Im so happy for the people that are opening the venue and running it that I just had to schedule the next event there. Support of local business and especially support of the people brave enough to open new businesses, is the best thing we can do here in our state. I am blessed to be able to provide that opportunity in my own small way through events and promotions. The We Mean Business Expo is this upcoming Wednesday, September 3rd at the RI Convention Center. This is a great event created by the Secretary of States Office for anyone who either runs a business or who is thinking about running a business. There are so many valuable things to learn and ideas that will be shared. I am honored to be doing a presentation there on Real-world strategies, ideas, and solutions for harnessing the power of social media and putting it to work for you. Obviously, if you are a friend or follower on my page...you can see that it works. I believe Social Media not only extremely valuable to any business but a necessity in todays world! There is great news coming out next week about the upcoming Mind Body Spirit Experience. Awesome sponsors who have come on board, and a special treat that is being created for attendees. The event is truly shaping up into something special. I thought leaving the Southern New England Womens Expo this year would be hard for me, but as all things happen for a reason, it has guided me to a better direction and I am excited about what lies ahead. It seems the universe always has a bigger plan for you and sometimes you just need to trust it. Ive also been asked and have agreed to be part of a National Inspiration Campaign with five other women from around the country. I am honored to be part of it, and they tell me press releases will be going out soon about the campaign which relates to my post yesterday of defining brave. Something we all have our own definition for. I hope that all of you have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. Try to make it YOUR time to stop and enjoy the last few days of summer
