HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!!! First the good news – petrol prices is now below RM2/liter. This means most of us would have a little bit more disposable income (for January 2015 at the very least), which in turn means you have no reason not to donate (if you have not) to our fellow Malaysians in several States who have been affected by the massive flood recently. With the current lower crude oil below USD60/barrel, it is good for you and me; but, it is not good for our nation as this means our government will have less income, which in turn means we too will be affected sooner or later. My advise to you is think twice before you use your credit card to purchase materialistic stuff but instead save your hard earned money for a rainy day (at least 6 months savings to survive without a job). However, economist will argue that spending and accumulating debt is good as it boosts the economy. I on the other hand will tell you that once you fall into the shit hole of debt, it is very difficult to get out. If you have no savings in hand to purchase a new gadget and are thinking of paying for it with installment plan, you better think twice as you will be in negative territory as far as your net-worth is concerned. And to start off the year, I have published my 7th article of my series, A Little Bit Of This and A Little Bit Of That – Volume I, Chapter VII. In this article I touched on several matters such as: Thank You for being my iFriend. I have learned that many of you are indeed caring, kind, generous and supportive – which is what friends do. If you have been following my blog for years, you will know why my main blog is called GenX GenY GenZ – Generations X Y Z. However, many are clueless as to why I have adopted this name and I once again reiterated how my main blog came about and that google deleted my previous main blog (I am still pissed off). If you are irritated by the lousy design of my blog; well, since my blog is FREE and considering that you may earn/save a Ringgit or two from my FREE Financial Tutorials, be thankful lah instead of complaining. Then again, I guess those who “complain” are just stating facts, hahaha. And for Fixed Deposit Fans, I will tell you the pros and cons of Statement Based FD (e.g. OCBC and UOB) versus Certificate Type FD (e.g. HLB and Maybank). Here I will tell you why the piece of paper given to you upon placement of a Statement Based FD is useless and how you may be “conned” of your hard earned money by someone you think you can trust. And the flip side of me telling you the pros and cons of Statement Based FD is that I have unintentionally taught an evil person how to con his parent(s) off their hard earned money! Why you should have money in FD, lots of it actually; instead of having so many properties which are not liquid and cant assist you to prolong your life. I will tell you how to get funds to pay for the mountain high hospital bills while your liveless body lay in the Intensive Care Unit. Why I must be a good and loving husband who obeys my wife. Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) – You will not believe how many students managed to score straight As. Finally the brightest students in Malaysia are no longer being robbed of their status and why I think it is the right move by the government as far as saving the Raykats money is concerned. Last but not least, thank you all once again for being my iFriends who have supported me through my depressing time when google deleted my previous main blog, clicked on the irritating ads, purchase stuff at Groupon via the links I provided and being a follower of mine here at Facebook and at Blogspot.
