HAPPY NEW YEAR…AS WE WAIT FOR OUR WELCOME HOME This morning, I re-listened to of Keiths prayer at the end of last Sunday and wrote it for my new years reflection. Father, we all sense our homelessness. We fight hard to deny it, to cover it up; with our busyness, our accomplishments, our relationships, our consumption, our pleasure, our leisures. We know we are HOMELESS, but dont want to believe it. Jesus, you left YOUR HOME to give US the HOME for which all our hearts yearn. And your home is a gift from beginning to end. We dont merit, earn, or deserve it. We RECEIVE it as a gift from the hand of Jesus. By faith we hold onto His life for our life, His death for our death, His resurrected life for our new life, His coming again for our coming home. Father, TEACH our HEARTS to LIVE at HOME IN YOU through Jesus , so we DONT HAVE TO PRETEND that we are NOT HOMELESS, that we are NOT living in a spiritually HOMELESS WORLD. And instead of pretending, coping, surviving, grant that we may go into this spiritually HOMELESS WORLD with the HOPE OF HOME and the TRUTH of CHRIST. TEACH us FATHER what this means in the New YEAR, 2015 Happy New Years EVE, with all our love - gale, keith and the rest of 5 Peck children, who grew up in the BEP family !
