HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FB FRIENDS! My New Year’s resolution for 2015 is to post a random Scriptural reference or text every day – my favourite references as they come to mind during the year. To my non-Christian fb friends, feel free to ignore this daily post – but please continue to at least look at my other posts, particularly my photo album posts! I am not good with modern technology so there will be no photos, only plain text! As with everything in life, they will focus on my understanding of the Bible. To those who know me fairly well, some may even appear hypocritical. I can’t even apologise that they might offend my Christian fb friends – if a Biblical reference offends you, perhaps you should look at it more closely. They may be quoted in isolation (i.e. without the context) which might encourage you to read the context. Feel free to criticise me/ comment on my selection. (I am a teacher, who is criticised every day by my teenage students, so I have broad shoulders and will probably ignore negative comments.) Most of the references will be from the New King James Version. I am unlikely to enter into fb debate on a text – I simply don’t have the time! Let’s see how long my resolution lasts – and how many fb friends I still have at the end! The first one is fairly obvious! DAY 1 John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
