HAPPY SABBATH: Heidi, my daughter called me and said Brock wants you to PREPARE HIM FOR BAPTISM! In ACTS, 22:16 And now why tarriest thou, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of The Lord. There have been young people who have been bribed and persuaded by their parents and grandparents, and others to be baptized, who were taught nothing before baptism except that we want them to do it. They have been given a few facts concerning doctrine, 27 rules to live by. Our mission when Brock,( 13 yrs old) is baptized that he is admitting that he has been taught by GOD, taught by the HOLY SPIRIT, and taught by me, family and friends, that he understands. I always assumed that his pastor would do that. He doesnt want the pastor, he wants me. His spiritual relationship and fellowship with JESUS has come through my HAPPY SABBATH message, and his wide circle of familys love for him. WOW, that is a heavy load, its easier to write about it than actually be GODS light reflector to show how brightly he shines in your life, with this vertical connection. Brocks Momma and Daddy are the two best parents in the world and if ever I am reincarnated I would want to come back as their kid. They both have been light reflectors of LOVE. Mark 16:16 gives a second prerequisite. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but He that believeth not shall be damned. Dont miss the sequence--- believing comes before baptism. Trust in JESUS is what is needed. Eternal destiny is not primarily by baptism, for there are exceptions to the rule. The whole thing in a nutshell is damnation is not the absence of baptism but the absence of BELIEF OR TRUST IN GOD. The third prerequisite I must try and teach Brock is found in Acts2:38. Here on the day of Pentecost, Peter is preaching. He says, REPENT. Why did Peter say that? They have been convicted, and Peters responds was REPENT for the remission of sins. Repentance is SORROW for our sins and turning away from it. How much it hurts JESUS; and to see how our best friend be Humiliated. He set the example and it is a wonderful thing to know we are saved and to join JESUS in the work HE is doing, saving sinners. I ask all of my friends to pray for Brock in this most important step, and pray for me and our entire family. Give me wisdom to show how much it has blessed me.
