“HAPPY SABBATH!” השבת מאושרת • By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done • ~Genesis 2:2-3~ • “If you love me, keep my commands • ~John 14:15~ • “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city • ~Revelation 22:14~ Jesus sinlessness was essential to His being a sinless sacrifice for us. If Jesus had transgressed or violated the Sabbath law or any other Divine law, He would not have been sinless and could not have been the sacrifice to take away our sins! To claim, as some do, that Jesus violated the Sabbath law, is to spiritually condemn all men to eternal torment, for it leaves us without a sinless sacrifice for our sins! Furthermore, Jesus set a perfect example for us to follow. If He violated Gods laws, what kind of example would that set? Jesus obeyed the law without sin: • For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are---yet he did not sin • ~Hebrews 4:15~ • To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps • ~1 Peter 2:21~ • God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God • ~2 Corinthians 5:21~ (Part 2 video)
