HAPPY TAIL! Sweet Casey fka Racquel was an Owner Surrender at the local Dallas shelter. She was very fearful and would not even accept a treat when we first approached her. Volunteer Heidi sat in Racquels kennel with her speaking softly and encouraging her to relax. After 15 minutes, Racquel finally realized that Heidi meant her no harm and crawled into her lap to be petted. We knew then that she had brighter days ahead! Raquel was fostered temporarily by Deborah and then by Betty, who called her Casey. Her new mom liked the name so it stuck! Caseys mom updates us below: Casey is doing well and we are working on her trust issues with strangers. She has learned to sit for her dinner. She and Lyla (rescue dachshund mix) play well together and enjoy taking the stuffing and squeakers out of their dog toys! Happy Tails, Racquel!!
