HAPPY TAILS! ADOPTED DOGS - CLYDE (A very special Happy Tail so make sure to read the whole story and scroll through all the photos) Hi. My wife Sharla asked me to send to you pictures of Clyde, a dog we adopted through OSCAR in August 2012. Here are the before and after pictures. To be honest, we were unsure about adopting Clyde when we finally met him given what he looked liked as you can see in the before photos during the adoption event. I know it seems shallow, but we knew nothing about the background of this dog, and we really only had his appearance to go by. But our son Jacob (8 years old then) made the rest of the family live up to our promise to Clyde of adopting him as Jacob felt that the chances of Clyde being adopted right away were slim given that no one else was paying attention to Clyde at the adoption event... It seems that everyone else had the same thoughts that the rest of our family had, except for Jacob. And Jacob was right... Clyde turned out to be a good looking dog... he receives a lot of compliments. And most importantly, Clyde is a very sweet and loving dog. He plays well with people and other dogs. Clyde has been a great addition to our family and a perfect fit for us. Its another lesson learned from our son Jacob. Clyde weighs around 16 pounds, and he is a healthy and happy dog. Thanks OSCAR, for bringing Clyde to our family. And thank you for your continued great work to successfully place other needy animals with loving homes and caring families.
