HAPPY YOUTH DAY TO ALL MY FELLOW YOUTHS. As we celebrate this day that has been set aside for us, we the youths, must take this opportunity to sit down and reflect on matters that affect our day to day life and find lasting solutions to the same. My fellow youths; my advice to you this day is as follows; 1. In as much as we would like to actively participate in politics for it is one of our many rights; let us refused to be used as tools of violence by the selfish politicians that are upto no good. Remember, we are still in the morning of our lives and it is only fair and important to take care of ourselves- after all they rarely think about our wellbeing as youths; 2.For those that are not employed, please, let us engage in self employment. It is obvious that our leaders care much about themselves than the affairs of the youths, who are the majority of the Zambian population. Each government that comes into power tends to forget the people as they seem to always be intoxicated with the unlimited sweetness of being in possession of state machinery. 3.Let us not back down in fighting for a better Zambia. That can be done by reporting corrupt practices to authorities although most of the times, the people in authority are the one that are very corrupt. Let us be sensitive on matters that involve the development of our MOTHER Zambia. 4. Finally, let us for once ignore what the government can do for us, but concentrate on how best we can help achieve a society all people will envy. Hungry people are angry people. I am not a politician but i suffer the consequences.
