HARD FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM TONIGHT UNTIL 10 AM THURSDAY MORNING FOR COASTAL DEL NORTE AND HUMBOLDT COUNTIES IN NORTHWESTER CALIFORNIA. The National Weather Service office in Eureka, California has issued a Hard Freeze Watch for the above areas due to expected overnight low temperatures ranging from the 20s to the low 30s. Unprotected vegetation will be killed with these temperatures. Pipes may freeze and burst if not properly insulated. Animals should be protected from the cold as well as they are not used to such frigid conditions. Locations included in the warning area are......Smith River, Hiouchi, Crescent City, Arcata, and Eureka.
