HARRISON COUNTY, Ind. (WHAS11) — According to a news release from Indiana State Police, a truck has been found that belongs to one of the suspects in the triple shooting that killed two people in Paoli, Ind. Monday. Police said they found John Carpenter’s red and gray 1991 Dodge Ram truck just after 9 p.m. Thursday in rural Harrison Co. The vehicle was located in the woods just east of Dixie Road, one mile east of New Amsterdam. Police received tips that led them to the vehicle. When they located the truck, police searched extensively, utilizing K-9 units from Jasper and Evansville districts, but were unable to locate Carpenter. The truck was towed and impounded at a secure location, according to the news release. Crime scene technicians will search the truck for additional clues and evidence Friday morning. Police continue to search for Carpenter and a third suspect, James Davidson. One suspect, Elbert Edward Brooks, 48, was arrested and charged him with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
