HARVARD CAPITULATES TO ANTI-SEMITISM As a Harvard grad, class - TopicsExpress

HARVARD CAPITULATES TO ANTI-SEMITISM As a Harvard grad, class of 74, I am thoroughly disgusted by the Harvard Administrations cowardly capitulation to the anti-Israel BDS movement on campus. Single focusing on Israel, while ignoring more deplorable nations like Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Russia, China and the like, is a form of anti-Semitism. Harvard was stained by explicit anti-Semitism in the 20s and 30s, due to its clearly anti-Semitic and discriminatory admissions policies against Jewish applicants and students. Harvards reputation is now further stained by its capitulation to this more modern form and more insidious form of anti-Semitism. According to this article, two pro-Palestine groups on campus found Israeli-based soda pop, disturbing. Thus these groups convinced Harvard University Services to remove the Israeli-based SodaStream pop machines and any labels attached thereto. Next these same groups will be disturbed by the very presence of Jewish students and faculty on the Harvard campus. The goal is the same: to delegitimize the state of Israel and to attack Jewish people. Anti-Semitism on the Harvard campus is a cancer that has to be eradicated immediately, or it will spread throughout the Harvard body. Let me go one step further. The anti-Israel BDS movement at its core is anti-Semitic. It is hate. Harvard should not tolerate Jew hatred or anti-Semitism on its campus. If a student supports anti-Semitism, that student should be asked to leave Harvard. Anti-Semitism should not be permitted or condoned on any campus or in any public institution. This is not a question of freedom of expression or the democratic right to protest. As racism should not be tolerated on campus or in any public institution, anti-Semitism should not be tolerated or condoned either. algemeiner/2014/12/18/harvard-suspends-purchases-from-sodastream-after-anti-israel-pressure/
