HAT TRICK: noun, three successes of the same kind, especially consecutive ones within a limited period. #GoodCookie Jennifer Shepard Pounders (pictured here at our first city-wide sale in 2010) is about to set a Cookies for Kids Cancer RVA record, mounting THREE different BIG fundraisers on THREE consecutive days. FRIDAY: With help from her husband Mark Pounders and everyone at Winn Transportation, she just wrapped the downtown trolley bake sale. SATURDAY: She and her daughter Taylor, a founding member of Cookies for Kids Cancer RVA Next Generation, will mount a sale at ACE Hardware in the Tuckahoe Shopping Center. SUNDAY: She will host RVAs first CFKC fundraising dinner -- a causal buffet-style event for 80 of her closest friends. Her sales ALWAYS raise THOUSANDS. In fact, the only thing bigger than Jens fundraising events is her HEART. Thank you, Jen, for setting such a remarkable example and coming up with our freshest, most innovative ways to reach new donors and widen our circle of supporters.
