HATOA Zbto enforce Bandh on all commercial/goods Truck in Zbto District Protesting and condemning against the recent incident “burning of truck and physical assault on the truck driver and handyman” in Satami-Asuto link road along the Zbto-Aghunato highway, the HATOA-Zbto unit had an emergency meeting and unanimously decided to impose and stop/halt the plying of goods truck indefinitely, until the culprits are booked. Hills Area Truck Owners Association (HATOA) Zbto Unit has called an indefinite “chaka bandh” on all commercial/goods truck within its jurisdiction i.e. Zbto district starting Monday 15th Dec 6 am onwards. “HATOA Zbto unit will not lift the bandh until the culprits are booked and we appeal the public to bear the inconveniences” caution the HATOA Zbto. It has further appealed the district law enforcing agency to book the culprits before any further escalation of the law and order crisis, since the festive season has begun. HATOA-Z has also expressed its gratitude to the Addl. SP Zbto, EAC Aghunato, OCs of both Zbto PS and Aghunato PS, ZCCI and leaders, elders, GBs of the surrounding village close to the crime scene for immediate intervention and safety of the victims. In a separate occasion, when contacted one of the top officer Zbto police, it was learnt that the SDPO Zbto revisited the crime scene spot and had rounds of talks and coordination meeting along with the elders, leaders and GBs of the surrounding villages close to the crime scene. He further assured that the Zbto police would leave no stone unturned and the top priority investigation and operation had already been launched. No further information could be obtained owing to the nature and gravity of case, which is still under intensive investigation. No major breakthrough has been reported or surfaced till now.
