HAVE YOU HEARD? The repeal of Common Core will be voted on soon. But there is a problem. PEOPLE WHO DONT WANT TO REPEAL COMMON CORE: -all major public-education associations -universities -some conservative-leaning education policy-research groups -business groups such as the Ohio Chamber of Commerce -Gov. John Kasich -leaders of the House and Senate education committees BUT WHY WOULD THEY OPPOSE REMOVING SOMETHING AS STUPID AS COMMON CORE? Money...lots of money. Ohio took federal money that all of them benefited from and if we repeal we have to pay millions back to the federal government. The kids futures, sadly, are not on their minds when they make these decisions. All I can say is tell everyone, and I mean everyone, to call your state legislature and Governor Kasich today.
