HAVING AN INDEPENDENT VOICE ON THE ID S.CT. SCARES THE PANTS OFF THE PARTY HACKS. Without a doubt, my opponent Horton has every party hack backing him. Party hacks know from Hortons campaign speeches that for the most part he will rubber stamp whatever the legislature or executive want, and that he is a reliable vote in favor of special interests who donate heavily to campaigns at the top of the ticket. I take a different tack. While due deference must be shown to the government when it is acting within its constitutional limits, Voters across the political spectrum want the government kept within the fence built around it by Idahos and the United States Constitutions. I have not asked for any endorsements, because when I am elected there will be two equally regarded opponents in front of me when I hear a case involving the extent of governmental power or a special interest -- the Government or special interest and a private party, perhaps you. All that I have promised is that I will do what I can to make sure that Idahos citizens and small businesses have a level playing field in the courtroom on which to compete. Thats why the Idaho Mountain Express endorsements suggested ... voters who want to send the court a message about keeping its distance from big business and ensuring fairness may want to vote for challenger William “Breck” Seiniger, an attorney with more than 30 years of private practice representing ordinary people. Thats not much of a threat to anyone I wouldnt think. No one will have to worry that I owe anything to these party leaders, none of whom even bothered to acquaint themselves with me before presuming to offer their opinion to you as to whom they prefer. Ask yourself why these party leaders were so quick to endorse Horton, without even checking into me or reviewing the top ratings I have earned from Martindale-Hubbell, Best Lawyers in America, and U.S. News Best Law Firms. Because I am independent, thats why, and it scares the pants off them.
