HCHC and the Mt. Pleasant Rec Center are offering a free community program on Thursday, June 19, at 9:15 a.m. at the Rec Center. Todd Steenblock, RT(R)(N)CNMT, Director of Radiology at Henry County Health Center, will present a program about DEXA scan. The public is invited to attend the presentation; you need not be a Rec Center member to attend. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is a means of measuring bone mineral density. Topics covered during Steenblock’s presentation will be an explanation of the test, national recommendations, test interpretation results based on categories and radiation dosage, along with a time for questions and answers.
