HE CARES FOR YOU AFFECTIONATELY! *PASTOR ANITA* MONDAY, JUNE 24TH, 2013 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately {and} cares about you watchfully (1 Peter 5:7 AMP). Some people love to worry. Anxiety has become a lifestyle they almost can’t do without. It’s either they’re worried about their families or their jobs or about money or the country; they always have something to worry about. Take worry away from them, and they’ll probably not be happy. What an unfortunate way to live! As a Christian, you can’t live your life that way, not after the Word tells you to cast the whole of your cares on Him. Someone might say, "I worry a little bit," no; don’t worry at all. The Word says, to cast all your cares upon Him; not some cares. Let Him have all your anxieties and worries, so you’d be free to serve Him. Don’t cast them on Him in the morning and take them back at night time. Do it onAce and for all. The Lord cares for you affectionately; He watches over you lovingly, to show Himself strong on your behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9). He’s very personal with you. The Bible says He rejoices over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). He knows you by name; He’s concerned about everything that has to do with you. No detail about your life is too insignificant for Him to get involved in. His delight is for you to live joyfully in peace, prosperity, and righteousness every day. He doesn’t want you to focus on problems or challenges; He wants you rather to focus on Him, and trust Him with your life. He cares for you affectionately. PRAYER Dear Father, you’re my nourisher, sustainer, and bread-provider; my trust and hope is in you; therefore I’m confident of a glorious today, and a rewarding tomorrow, knowing that your perfect will shall be accomplished in me, and through me, in the Name of Jesus. Amen. FURTHER STUDY Philippians 4:6 New Life Version (NLV) 6 Do not worry. Learn to pray about everything. Give thanks to God as you ask Him for what you need. Psalm 23 New Life Version (NLV) The Lord—Our Shepherd 23 The Lord is my Shepherd. I will have everything I need. 2 He lets me rest in fields of green grass. He leads me beside the quiet waters. 3 He makes me strong again. He leads me in the way of living right with Himself which brings honor to His name. 4 Yes, even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not be afraid of anything, because You are with me. You have a walking stick with which to guide and one with which to help. These comfort me. 5 You are making a table of food ready for me in front of those who hate me. You have poured oil on my head. I have everything I need. 6 For sure, You will give me goodness and loving-kindness all the days of my life. Then I will live with You in Your house forever.
