HE IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK, I PROCLAIM! He is closer than you think, I proclaim! Last night as I was about to respite, i couldn’t avoid the song that the DJ was playing. “From a distance” is a song by Julie Gold. In this song Julie suggest that “God is watching us from a distance” .This song compelled me to excogitate about the omnipresence of God. In my meditative state, I realised how easily many of us walk away from the faith. Many Christians think that God is far from them, some even suggest that He doesn’t answer their prayers. My dear brethren I am here to proclaim to you that Jehovah is closer than you can Imagine. In the book of 1 Corinthians 6:19 the bible tells us that our bodies are a Temple of God. This is confirmed by God himself in the book of Hebrews 13:5, He said “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you”. Jesus in the book of John reaffirms this to us: John 15: 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. My brothers and sisters stop running around chasing mediums and prophets for the Lord I AM lives in you. He has given you his own spirit so that you can just cruise effortlessly through the rough seas and fierce storms presented by life itself. God has made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, and a bronze wall to stand against the whole world. The bible tells us that God is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient. This means that we also possess the aforementioned qualities. If this be so, then why do we toil so much? Why do we sometimes feel like God is no hearing us? Could it be because we don’t understand or hear God? Sometimes we must just cease praying and start listening. The holy spirit is always talking to us and yet we fail to hear. In the book of Daniel 10:9, the prophet says” Then I heard him speaking, and as I LISTENED to him I fell into a deep sleep, my face on the ground. My dear brethren it is time that you start listening to the inner voice. There is no way that you can pray to God and never receive a response, unless if you are praying to Baal. Baal is the one who doesn’t answer prayers as it is written in the book of 1 Kings 18:26 “ Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon”. But there was no response; no one answered. When Elijah called upon the Lord, at once He answered and fire came down. Child of God you are so powerful that when you invoke fire from heaven, it will come at once and destroy all the hindrances in your life. Like Ezekiel, you have the power to prophesy to every dry bone to come to life. If your finances are dry, prophesy life into your pockets. If your love life is dry, prophesy for a sensible soulmate. If you are in bondage, prophesy emancipation. You have the power to bring the dead to life, just like Christ revived Lazarus. Jesus Christ’s teachings were based on the renewal of our mind. Have you renewed your mind or are you still incarcerated? If you are free and have a mind of Christ, and believe that Christ lives in you, you can command any mountain to move and throw itself into the sea. It doesn’t matter how big and high the mountain is, your faith will force it to move. It can be a financial mountain, a demonic mountain, or a mountain of oppression, your word will reduce it to nothing. Child of God, God lives in you. You were made in his image and likeness. God is not watching you from a distance, He is in you and you in Him. Stop toiling now, ask God to bless you with wisdom so that you can see and know his ways.
