HE WILL CRUSH THE OPPRESSOR AFTER THE FINAL BATTLE ! (SEE PSALM 46:1 - 11; AMOS 9:5 - 15; JOHN 1:1 - 46; REVELATION 16:1 - 15). ...He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; he will crush the oppressor. He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations. He will be like rain falling on a mown FIELD, like showers watering the earth. In his days the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more. He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth (Psalm 72:1 - 8)(NIV). ...Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations, The LORD reigns. The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the FIELDS be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth (Psalm 96:1 - 13)(NIV). A SHOOT will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD - and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist... (Isa. 11:1 - 12)(NIV). On the day the LORD gives you relief from suffering and turmoil and cruel bondage, you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end ! How his fury has ended ! The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression. All the lands are at rest and at peace; they break into singing... (Isa. 14:3 - 27)(NIV). From the West, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent - up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along. The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins, declares the LORD... (Isa. 59:19 - 21)(NIV). At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Nubians in submission (Dan. 11:40 - 43)(NIV). ...Then the LORD will appear over them; his arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign LORD will sound the trumpet; he will march in the storms of the South, and the LORD Almighty will shield them. They will destroy and overcome with slingstones. They will drink and roar as with wine; they will be full like a bowl used for sprinkling the corners of the altar. The LORD their God will save them on that day as the flock of his people. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown. How attractive and beautiful they will be ! Grain will make the young men thrive, and new wine the young women (Zech. 9:9 - 17)(NIV). HE WILL CLEANSE THE BLOODSTAINS FROM JERUSALEM BY A SPIRIT OF JUDGMENT AND A SPIRIT OF FIRE (SEE ISAIAH 4:2 - 6; JEREMIAH 25:15 - 38; JOHN 17:1 - 3; HEBREWS 12:1 - 29). In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: A voice of one calling in the desert, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him... (Matt. 3:1 - 17)(NIV). ...The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, Hosanna to the Son of David ! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord ! Hosanna in the highest ! When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole City was stirred and asked, Who is this ? The crowds answered, This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee (Matt. 21:1 - 9)(NIV). ...What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols ? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty (2 Cor. 6:14 - 18)(NIV). But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, Abba, Father. So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir... (Gal. 4:4 - 31)(NIV). He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God...To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations - He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery - just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give him the Morning Star (Rev. 2:7 - 28)(NIV). I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, Come ! I looked, and there before me was a white horse ! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come ! Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword...Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb ! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand ? (Rev. 6:1 - 17)(NIV). The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever... (Rev. 11:15 - 19)(NIV). ...He who was seated on the throne said, I am making everything new ! Then he said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. He said to me: It is done.
