HEADSHAVE FOR HAITI PART 2 Three young Haitian men - Jonel, - TopicsExpress

HEADSHAVE FOR HAITI PART 2 Three young Haitian men - Jonel, Kedler and Shmeed - have joined the team. We are delighted about this because it brings a much better balance and it is wonderful having Haitian men lead the walks. They are already saying that this journey is having a very deep impact on their lives. We have taken them on even though they do not have the funds to pay for it. Because of this, our team finances are tight and we will not have sufficient to pay our bills here. Two days ago, the two French participants, Jacques and Serge, had their heads shaved. It was an act of identification with the slaves who had their heads shaved before they were sold and also an act of humiliation in relation to France’s involvement in the tragic history of this nation. As many of you know, Sally Ann Dyer had her ‘Headshave for Haiti’ which has raised £7,500 ($12,000) which we want give away to a hospital here. Jacques and Serge have had their heads shaved because they want to see things reversed and for the future of Haiti to be changed. Would you pause for a moment and consider if you could invest in the future of Haiti by supporting these young Haitians on this Lifeline Expedition. The fees are $800 which is around £550, so we are looking to raise a total of £1,650 for three of them. The simplest and quickest way for you to do this would be to add it to Sally Ann’s Justgiving page at justgiving/sallyanndyer
