HEALING WALK: KAYAK FLOTILLA JOIN THE KAYAKS IS SUPPORT OF THE HEALING WALK; PROTECT THE BAY, THE DELTA, THE OCEAN, & THE WATER! A group of kayakers will paddle as a group alongside the Healing Walk in the Carquinez Strait, drawing special attention to protecting our water, the Bay, the Delta and the Ocean. We will have some flags and rigging with messages to attach to the front of the kayaks. Folks will provide their own kayaks and transport. JOIN US! Crossing the Strait can be dangerous: we will only cross if conditions are safe. If not safe we will transport our boats across the Bridge and let in in Benicia. Meet/Park outside Martinez Marina Bait & Tackle. 95 Tarantino Drive, Martinez, CA 94553 Map: goo.gl/maps/ORW3i This is near Martinez Waterfront Park where walkers will gather at 9am We can carry our kayaks down to the docks at the boat ramp and let in (If we drive down to the water there is a $10 charge--same as for boats on trailers. The folks at the Marina Bait and Tackle said kayakers can park behind their store for the day for free. 2) 2pm: BENICIA: Go to Turnbul Park, the dock to let in is just past the Parking Area. This is a residential area, so please be respectful. We will join the kayakers coming from Martinezpaddle along the shore and join the walkers for the closing rally and ceremony.
