HEALTH CARE IS A RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE — as big insurance - TopicsExpress

HEALTH CARE IS A RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE — as big insurance companies and their Republican overseers would like us to believe. All major industrialized nations practice some form of universal health care. But not in America. Were just beginning to take our first steps to universal coverage. The Affordable Care Act is that first step. While not perfect (what is?!) its a GREAT start and we Democrats should embrace it, as President Clinton declared yesterday. Be proud of it. I sure the hell am. Look what it did for me. And six million other Americans without coverage. Today I scheduled appointments with my doctors for the first time in four years. What a pity that the cost of health care has been unreachable for the average American. The ACA will become accepted and embraced by Americans once they see what it can do for them and their families. Only then will the FOX lies and the Koch brothers propaganda and the Republicans misinformation be understood for the malarkey it truly is. The ACA will help us win the midterms. Not lose it. Know the facts and spread the good word. The ACA is here to stay and will be as valuable and enduring as Social Security. And THAT, my friends, is why the Tea Party-led Republicans despise it and are doing all they can to destroy it. We wont let that happen. Remember this come November.
