HEALTH UPDATE, Monday, November 10th, 2014 Please move your chair closer, Mr Evans, the Professor of the Pulmonary Section at the University of Michigan Hospital said to me after he entered the consultation room to apprise me of the results of the latest tests conducted on my lungs. He was sitting there looking at his laptop computer screen as he said those words to me, so naturally I simply assumed that he wanted to show me something relating to those tests as I moved closer, but instead, looking directly into my eyes, and almost in an apologetic manner, he said to me, Im sorry, Mr Evans, but theres absolutely nothing we here at this hospital can do that will provide a cure for your lung disease. To most folks such words might seem to be harsh, cold hearted, but I did not receive them as such. I had previously read a variety of medical reports published by a many professionals in this field of medicine, and was well aware of the gloom and doom associated with the disease known as Idopathic Pulomnary Fibrosis, therefore his diagnosis came as no surprise to me. Of course, it would have been of tremendous relief had the news been the opposite, but being the realist that Ive always been, I accepted it for what it was, that is, there are just some things which even the most well-educated and experienced professional simply cannot do, and I just happened to have the misfortune of having been afflicted with a disease that even the most technologically advanced medical achievements have been unable to find a resolution for. It was several hours after leaving the hospital consultation room that day, and having spent some time contemplating all that the Professor had said to me (he repeated the same declaration at least three, to the best of my recollection), when suddenly it dawned upon me, Hey! Thats great news! Now that it has been determined, by the best, most highly trained and skilled medical professionals that there was absolutely NOTHING that medical science could do to alleviate this wretched affliction from my physical body, and thereby cause mortals to receive the credit and acclaim for having done so, what had actually transpired was this: God had been given the freedom to now heal me of this affliction and it would be He, alone, that received ALL of the honor and glory for having done so! As a result of this thought my confidence in His healing power has soared to heights that were completely unimaginable just a short while earlier! My healing, which will be delivered to me directly from the Throne of God located in the invisible heavens, I am irrevocably persuaded, lies just beyond the horizon of any moment now! I pray that God will help me to increase my faith in Him which will be sufficient to receive it when it arrives! I will publicly announce its reception so that others might rejoice and give Him the praise due to our wondrous eternal Lord and Saviour when it does! I would be grossly remiss should I also fail to note this important fact: Even death for a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, mankinds wondrously indescribable eternal God and Saviour, represents a healing, for as I noted in my Morning Musing for this day, death cures all disease. Being one of HIs disciples, then my healing, regardless of the manner in which it comes, will be a true blessing (miracle) made possible by He whom I owe my everything!
