HEART, BODY & SOUL TOPIC FOR TODAY (08-09-14) . . . A lady has been in love with a guy for some time. The relationship was not without some normal relationship challenges. But the both of them continued till the guy went to see the lady’s parents and completed all the marriage rites. They fixed their wedding and on their wedding day, the girl did not show up. After the confusion and disappointment that comes with a foiled wedding; it was learned that the lady changed her mind on the eve of their wedding day. When asked the reason for the sudden change of mind, she said that it was because her father called and invited her fiancé for a little chitchat to know how they are getting on with preparations. The fiancé refused to honour the father’s invitation and told him off on phone, claiming that he has fulfilled all the traditional marriage rites and will not want to have anything to do with the family again, because they will want to become a liability to him. So the lady decided not to go ahead with the marriage as she is uncertain about her future with the man as he is already disrespecting her father and planning to sever the relationship between him and her family.
