HEART, BODY & SOUL TOPIC FOR TODAY (09-10-13) . . . A story for us to draw some morals from . . . Alex and Mary were married for 4 years, they lost their only child and the pain of the loss led to their divorce. After some years of divorce, Mary got married to Dave a soldier. Alex and Mary meet for the first time after their divorce in January last year at a common friend’s wedding, they got together and chatted all through the wedding, they exchanged phone numbers, they kept in touch and became very friendly but that was all (no romance involved, just good friends), because Dave was away on a peace-keeping operation outside the country, Alex was always on the phone with Mary who was pregnant for her husband, Dave. On the day of delivery Mary was so much in pain so she called Alex to come and be by her during labour. Alex as a good friend came around and even joined her in the labour room while she delivered. Mary wanted pictures of the delivery so she could send to the husband, so one of the nurses took Marys phone and snapped as many pictures as she could, some of the pictures had Alex in them. Mary forwarded all the pictures to Dave who now accused her of having an affair with the Ex-husband Alex; he said Alex presence in the labour room while she was giving birth was a testimony that they were having an affair. Mary tried everything to explain that she just needed a close friend inside there since Dave couldnt make it but Dave would not listen. Dave wants a divorce and also a DNA to determine the paternity of the baby. What do you think: did Mary get it wrong; is Dave right in his suspicion; Alex was just being a nice friend, is that bad; what lesson (if any) did you learn from the story???
