HEARZ WHY...hourly wage generally indicates some sort of skilled labor, whereas salaried indicates a deeper commitment aimed towards management. labor gets paid hourly and goes home for a beer. salaried works more like a partner. The difference gives the salaried individual a unique opportunity to impress upper management with ones abilities and level of commitment.
