HEAVEN SENT She took her son hold by the hand, As her eyes - TopicsExpress

HEAVEN SENT She took her son hold by the hand, As her eyes filled up with tears, She said, Son your fathers gone, Your father of five years. Her husband was a Superman, To their only little boy, She thought hed never understand, Why his daddy had to die. But the little boy looked at his mom, And said in a voice so low, God needs more Dads in heaven, Thats why he had to go! ‘Cause up in heaven, there’s lots of kids, Who needs someone like dad, I know that hell play ball with them, Thats why, I cant be sad. She took that message from her son, The day her husband died. That life must go right on from here, As she stood there by his side. Yes, her little boy stood by her side, For twenty more years to come, Then heavens gates opened up again, And took her only son. Oh, she let her tear flow free that day, Until she remembered what he’d said, That, God needed her son in heaven now, Just like He did, his dad. Sometimes we just dont understand, Why things happen the way they do, You never know about tomorrow, What could happen to me or you. So take a lesson from your kids, Be happy, and smile a lot, Make the best of the life you have, Because, its the only one youve got. ~Rose Oldford Pestrue ~ 10/93 (it could be in Newfoundland) I know it don’t have Newfoundland in the poem..So if Tim Mosdell wants to remove it, I won’t get mad. :)
