HELD TO RANSOM BY - BRITISH GAS! - THAT SAID ALL GAS COMPANIES ARE THE SAME. Was privatisation of the Gas and electric companies, a Tory get me back for the mines. Instead of the miners as they would say holding them to ransom, now these absolutely horrible companies can hold all of us to ransom. Just try asking them sometime to remove a meter, guess what it will cost you the best part of £300.00 for them to remove what is in effect their property. I wonder how many people now would change back to coal if they were given the opportunity, knowing full well that these companies are totally out of control. We as a country are all too easily held to blackmail and ransom, by these vindictive, over expensive privatised companies. The Tory Government most certainly knew what they were doing when they allowed homes to be taken over by these festering parasites. Unfortunately the same applies to electricity and electricity is an essential.
