HELLLOOOOOO EVERYBODY. If you came to the last public sketch meeting, the following will be old news. Read it anyway! In just over a month (8/28), SketchHaus will be a featuring a THIRD ACT that will function as Bostons only SKETCH OPEN MIC. SKETCH OPEN MIC. This means there will be between 30-45 minutes for anybody and everybody to do WHATEVER they want onstage, so long as it can be called sketch. THIS APPLIES TO YOU IF: 1) You have a brand new sketch group and want to get some performance time under you belt. 2) You are a veteran sketch group who wants to try out new material, or work on the finer points of some older stuff. 3) You are comedian looking to try sketch in a friendly space. 4) You want to break into sketch performance but have no writers. 5) You want to break into sketch writing but have no one to perform with. The open mic will take place after normal SketchHaus programming and itll occur on the LAST THURSDAY of every month from now on. You dont have to sign up before hand. You dont have to send me any information. You just need to show up and go up. If you have a sketch thats written but dont have a group, let me know, we will get people to stage it for you. The first date for this new program will be 8/28. Ill be posting more about it as the date grows nearer. In the meantime, if you have questions, comments or concerns, please let me know!
