HELLO ALL YOU HAPPY PEOPLE. Ive been reading Luke lately and something keeps catching my eye. All throughout the book Jesus calls himself the son of man. What does that even mean? Isnt Jesus the son of God or man? Well depends which gospel you are reading. All are the same story but each one was made for different reasons. Matthew to show that Jesus was the king he was royalty thats why they called him son of David. Thats why the genealogy in the first chapter goes back to David and Abraham to show to the Jews this is the king they were waiting for. Jesus speaking with authority. Mark to show Jesus as the servant. All we see are his deeds and miracles. Barely any parables no speaking with authority. Lots of and Jesus did/said It just showed Jesus as the one who came to serve. Luke as the son of man. To show that Jesus was human. The genealogy in the third chapter goes all the way back to Adam to show Jesus was of man. Were told more about his birth came to be and when his parents lost him in the town. That he was here for man. That he was made in fleshy form. In John to show Jesus he was the son of God and God incarnate. Were not told about his birth were just given in the beginning was the Word similar to Genesis. We find out how Jesus was with God this whole time then sent to earth. Were given deeper spiritual meanings and Jesus using things like light, water, bread, tree, fruit to show he is the son of God. Unlike the other three gospels which show Jesus going to our level it shows Jesus bringing us to his level. So is Jesus son of man or son of God? Read the gospels for yourself and find out. -TonY
