HELLO! HELLO! HELLO! There has been a lot of comments, opinions, activity, private and public messages, meetings and positions taken on the issue of Northside High School. There has been the same as it relates to the part I have played in particular where I stand. I want to share something then I will ask you a question and wait for your answers. There is a saying that opinions are like a certain body cavity, everyone has one. For example, I have heard an opinion from every single professionally employed person tied to the school system from Superintendent, Board Members, Teachers, Counselors, Cafe workers and custodians. Even Bus Drivers. I have heard from people who live in Northside zone but have no connection to the school. I have seen businesses within a mile of the school who gives nothing to the school, give to schools in other areas but yet have an opinion. I have heard from alumni who the school served well but would not allow their children to attend. I hope you get the point, everyone is saying what should be done, some happy, some sad, some angry, all have an AGENDA of their own. This is the question............... I respectfully ask everyone to change your hat, employee, resident, official, business, advocate, citizen, take them all off and put a parent hat on. Tell me what would be your position, opinion, reaction and demands if your tie to the school was your CHILD or CHILDREN attended? Hear me clearly, everyday you send your most prized and valuable possession, your CHILD or CHILDREN to Northside High School as it exist today what would you be doing? THE RED, BLACK & WHITE VIKING FOR LIFE!!!!!!!
