HELLO Nursing Students, We present to you, the 8th Neighbourhood Health Service (NHS). In short, NHS aims to act as a bridge between residents who have fallen through the cracks and the healthcare system. The residents we serve are often elderly and of low income. Also, NHS strives to be a facilitator between healthcare partners – ranging from GPs & polyclinics to Family Service Centres & VWOs and places an emphasis on follow-up - to provide the most complete care possible for our residents. After all, we don’t screen for the sake of screening. We screen to make a difference. Today, we invite you to be a part of this experience. As a project in its 8th year running, we can assure you that the experience you will have will be shaped by what so many batches before you have undergone. In other words, this could potentially be an amazing experience. But, this experience can only be amazing as YOU make it to be. And here, we invite you to join us in one or both of the following ways – 1. As a volunteer and/or 2. as a junior committee member. As A Volunteer (we are looking for ~60/day) You will have the opportunity to screen multiple households. The best part is that at every step of the way, you will be guided.
