HELP A SPECIAL NEEDS PUP? Dear Junebug is in need of a 1:1 pup nurse...er foster parent!! Seriously, our Junebug has a condition called megaesophagus which means she needs to eat upright at each meal in a chair called a Bailey chair. Junebug needs someone, a couple, or a family where someone is home most of the time, that can help her with her feeding needs. Other than this, Junebug is a beautiful and sweet gal. Little Junebug is a mix of breeds; possibly Shiba Inu/Lab/Corgi. She was likely born in 2012 or 2013 and currently weighs 33 pounds. She has a moderate energy level and plays well with dogs, cats, and kids! This adorably cute and fluffy girl was picked up off the streets of Houston while pregnant. She gave birth and remained with her pups until they were weaned. She was spayed, and then shortly after moved to a facility for some basic training. Junebug has had a few medical issues but nothing that cannot be overcome. She is heartworm positive, but will be finished with treatment soon. She has a problem with a ligament in her rear leg, but this is healing. Finally, she has a problem with her esophagus, whereas when she eats, the food does not make its way all the way down to her stomach. As also happens with humans, this can lead to aspiration pneumonia, which Junebug had a bout of and has recovered from. From now on though, Junebug will use a doggy highchair to maintain her in an upright position while eating, so that the food will make its way down to her stomach in the usual manner. Can you donate your time and home to taking care of little Junebug? To foster Junebug, please submit a foster application at corridorrescue.org under the More Information tab. To adopt Junebug, please submit an adoption application at corridorrescue.org under the More Information tab. Foster homes are provided with everything needed for the animal free of charge. If you have any questions, or would prefer to receive the application as a Word document, please contact corridorrescue@gmail Thank you!
