HELP BUILD OUR PARISH CENTER The St. Michael Archangel Parish church of Javier Leyte thru the leadership of Fr. Edgar Monge has been relentless in looking for ways on how to improve the services of the church to the people in the community. During the meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and Parish Finance Council (PFC) held, a good proposal was raised by the Parish Priest which is the construction for the Parish Pastoral Center. It has been the practice, that some meetings/seminars such as Basic Ecclesiastical Communities (BEC) meeting, Family and Life Apostolate (FALA) seminar or any other activities, due to the absence of a venue suited for the purpose we are constrained to hold these activities inside the church, which is not proper considering that a church is a house of worship and not a meeting place. Thus, in that meeting the Parish Pastoral Council has decided to construct a Parish Center adjacent to the existing Church and Angelicum buildings. The purpose of this construction is intended for the abovementioned activities or other socials like Wedding, Birthday or Anniversary parties. Not only that this project proposal had been duly approved by the PPC and PFC, the same was already announced to the parishioners during a Sunday mass. In fact, the project had already kicked off, after a Groundbreaking ceremony was held last June 22, 2014 which was attended by the Municipal Administrator Joanes Alfafara and some parishioners. Found herein is an initial amount of One Million One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Pesos (Php 1,115.370) needed for the partial completion of the main building, excluding both wings extension. As of this time, we already advanced to Arch. Erwin Kempis an initial amount of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Pesos (Php 260,000.00), for the start of the project. Apparently, the amount that we have at the moment will not be enough to finish the building. Thus, it is our fervent hope and prayer that this project will merit the support of all stakeholders and sectors of our society such as but not limited to business, students, youth, teachers, professionals, religious organizations here and abroad and the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) to make donations directly to the Parish Office. We are assuring to our kind hearted donors that any amount you give to the church will be properly accounted for up to the last centavo and will be spent for the purpose.
