HELP!!! Can anyone advise please. We are currently undergoing a 10 stretch and have decided to have the boat repainted. The painting alone is a very expensive job but it covered everything from stripping down to removal of windows and a bit of sign writing. We have just recently heard from the painter, after the price was agreed, that its now advised that the boat be shotblasted prior to repainting. The roof was done some years ago but we are now being quoted an extra £31 per foot on top of the cost of the repaint. Does anyone know if this is the case? What will happen if the sides are not shotblasted? All comments and opinions most gratefully received.
