HELP FB FAM! I received this message today: Hello Tiffany Im a teacher at James J. Ferris High School and Im seeking your help. I am a Fashion Design Sewing Teacher here at Ferris. My classroom is equipped with manufacture machinery which causes the class room to be VERY HOT. I have been begging the Administrators for seven years in reference to this matter and have been told continuously that there is nothing they can do. As I continuously strive to raise the bar for my students who have won numerous scholarships and gold medals it is truly difficult working in a sweat box (if you will). Yesterday I went home soaking wet literally from just trying to organize the room for the student which is still incomplete because the heat in the class room is extremely unbearable. So unbearable that the only time the Administrators will enter the class is during the winter. However, it seems that to them its ok for me and the students to work in these conditions. I have had parents complain even to the BOE and still nothings changed. Its to the point where the students would rather cut class than to sit in the heat. I have spent thousands of dollars buying things to help my students excel and unfortunate I now have a child in college and I dont have anything left to give. I have seriously given until it hurts. Do you have or know of anyone that has two (12000 BTU) Air Conditioners for an electrical outlet will take a 110? ---- FB Fam, does anyone have an air conditioner that they can donate?
