HELP! I am in permit purgatory at Indian Rocks Beach City Hall, attending my 2nd City Council meeting of the evening, listening to a presentation by county government, waiting for our agenda item - a 5 year permit for the Clearwater Distance Classic. Should be a slam dunk as we are listed on the consent agenda. Earlier tonight, city council at Indian Shores approved our permits for this years Holiday Halfathon and our Clearwater Distance Classic. After this, I will be off to Madeira Beach City Hall for 5 year permits for the Holiday Halfathon. Should be another slam dunk as I have already met with city officials. Not a bad night - permits for 12 races over the next 5 years. I will be ready for a drink when I get home. Wish me luck!
