HELP! Mockers in the house of God: Welcome to ‘Jozi’ Isaiah 28:14-16, Psalm 144:11 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, we have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. As the Lord drew our hearts unto Himself few months ago at the student congress speaking to us deliberately and passionately about “this sure corner stone” upon which our foundation must be laid for “a sure future” in the coming days, a very profound truth that has remained clued to my heart is the issue of these mockers (scorners) in our text; who have taken over Jerusalem, the city of God! The daunting mockery of these scornful men and women who have taken into captivity, the city of God and the inhabitants thereof, is a matter that has kept my heart burdened. JERUSALEM, the home of peace has been hijacked by these scoffers who put men in bondage and brag over their wicked practices in keeping men under their yoke and dominion. Oh! Jerusalem has become the den of mockers and crooked men and women displaying their falsehood and hellish practices. It jolted me very profoundly about three weeks ago these awkward activities of these mockers and scornful men and women right in the house of God. My heart really bled and perceived so strongly that heaven must be weeping for the current state of His flock bought with His precious blood. The men and women in that little congregation is a minute picture of the current global church of God ravaged by these mockers and scornful men and women who have taken over the Jerusalem of God-The haven of His peace! It became a matter in my heart knowing fully well that these mockers are occupying the top-most seats in the temple of God in the name of pastors, prophets, evangelist, apostles and bishops, lording over the city of God—Jerusalem. Whereas the Lord of glory will soon show up once again in His holy temple and city, it is pathetic that God’s people are currently impoverished and held in bondage in His sanctuary. JERUSALEM ought to be the city of God where His will is done and His Lordship explicitly obeyed. Our body is His temple and ought to be His domain where HE, the prince of PEACE ought to constantly reign in His supremacy (I Cor. 6:19-20). A penitent issue God is raising before us today is that: who is in charge of my body which is its temple? Is my life under His dominion or under the influence of the scorners? Is my life not a mockery to His divine nature? Is my way of dressing not a dent and disgrace to His Holy name append to me? Am I mocking His Holy name and power in the name of service? When His name is been used as a rubber stamp to accentuates our hellish practices, are we not mocking His name? I was so shocked and embarrassed seeing all the devilish practices going on in that little congregation I was invited to by my friends in the name of worship and deliverance. Lord, our hearts cry for your deliverance from these scornful men and women who have taken over your JERUSALEM! Come dear father with your scourging whip once again to take over the affairs of your Holy city and establish your will in your church. Purge us oh Lord from these mockers and scorners that have pervaded your sanctuary and hold our souls under their bondage. Our hearts yarn for your deliverance and hear us dear Father from Zion (Obadiah 1:17). Revival knocks!!!
