HELP !!!! New owner of 1941 Luscombe 8B N39091 - Continental 75A - bought her at an estate sale as is - 4 months out of annual - 607 SMOH - went down to ferry her home and she started first pull but - now the mystery starts - cant get her over 1200 rpm and have to lean her out to get that far - put fresh fuel in - pulled the plugs and it is running very rich - dropped the bottom half of carb to check float and its just fine and the carb is clean - last flown in June this year so I dont think the rings are stuck plus Ive run her up to temp for at least 30 minutes. Living in Nashville, Tn. there just isnt that many A&Ps that know the older birds and the one that does is booked till October so any ideas or help would be great.
