HELP***PRAY***HELP***PRAY The vet called this morning and I dont even understand what he said..... Java had heat in his feet last night, more front right than left :( He has to wear ice boots for the next 72 hours which is the least of our worries..... Post-colic surgery, Java could have compromised blood flow/circulation to the feet which can cause laminitis (founder) or lameness. Also, he ate pasture grass and peppermints yesterday, so Java *may* have an insulin resistance problem (horsey diabetes); his hay is being soaked now and hes getting some sort of medication to help his body process sugars. The most benign scenario is that he bumped himself getting up and got a simple bruise (probably unlikely). The vet is taking radiographs (X-rays) of Javas front feet to detect any post-colic surgery lameness and giving Java medications. I will go visit later and learn more.... We dont have the answer yet, so please pray, pray, PRAY!🙏🙏🙏. Everything else appears to be in good order, thank you Lord❤. Did I mention how much I HATE COLIC?!?
